The Taylors

As a surprise for Father's Day, I did a portrait session for a family I used to work for. As most of my friends know, before the days of special education teacher (what I am now,) I was an in-home tutor for children with autism spectrum disorder. This little guy was barely 3 when I began working with him and I remained his tutor for 2.5 years until the wonderful school I'm working in now could take over with him. He has a special place in my heart, as does his whole family! They are like a second set of parents to me and wonderful friends. I will always love Jonah!

He is nothing short of a challenge for pictures (he sees a camera and thinks "What is the POINT here people!!??") so we had to get creative and pick something HE liked to do... Well...the activity was...throwing rocks into Longview Lake! We had tons of fun and I really captured Jonah and got some nice interaction shots with his sissy, Jaylee! This definitely was my most challenging scenario to date though, in the sense that I took more pictures of him on another day on the playground at school just so I could get some close ups without getting hit by rocks! :) Enjoy!!
