I am updating and trying some new things out on my blog... watch out for construction! :)
1. Layout
The first change was obviously the layout. I'm trying a wider layout to better display my portraits. Tell me what you think!
2. New Photo Hosting
I am uploading my chosen favorites to an exterior site now for (hopefully) larger posts. Then I also don't have to worry about using all of my storage through blogspot.
3. New Photo Features
Instead of just putting on pictures, I will occasionally incorporate slide shows. I love slide shows, and think it's fun to make slide shows of my work. Photobucket makes it easier.
**I promise to continue updating my portraits- I am still VERY behind... I cannot even believe how busy I was in my first year as my own business. Thanks to all of my clients, especially my repeating clients!!! I LOVE working with you! I hope 2010 continues at the same rate so I may upgrade to even better gear! :-D
Thanks to all of my new friends who have visited from Pioneer Woman's Site! I love your comments and looking at your blogs! Many talented ladies!
Here is a slide show of some images I shot at a photography workshop held by Kevin Keith Photography. If you ever want to learn beyond the basics of your DSLR, I highly recommend attending a workshop like this- I went for the photography practice with bride and groom models- it was amazing- and I am thrilled with the images I got!

Professional Website Purchased
So...I just purchased a domain and a fancy flash website. Too bad the company is closed on the weekend, so I have to wait until Monday to start creating. (shucks) I like the website I just posted in the last entry...but...I needed something bigger and better. Until my big website is posted, I will continue to use: http://hstrial-ccombs.homestead.com/index.html- it's petite, pretty, and shows off tons of my work!
The more portraits I take, the more and more I love it!! :) I can't wait to expand my equipment even more...and the first step once I buy a house is... create a studio. Although, I REALLY like using the beautiful outdoors and clients homes. That will do for now. I must be patient.
I have some more Caden pictures to share, as I get ready to edit a new batch of photos. Enjoy these until I can post the girly portraits I have coming! :)

Portraits coming...
So...I had two great portrait sessions this last weekend- a senior guy and a little infant boy.... but am SO swamped with this crazy master's class right now, it will be about a week before I can get them on here. So for now...I tide anyone who reads this blog over with...this photo:

It is a photo of my Penny that I took after the Petsmart B-day Party last Tuesday, April 21. I am really in love with the picture because of the angle, her ears and the expression on her face. I feel it is one of the best portraits I've ever taken of her. I wish I would have had my 50mm lens to blur the background better, but...it was a last minute, kodak moment so I worked with what I had in that split second. Literally, I just stuck the camera by her face and shot without looking...and this was what I got! :) Sometimes you get the best portraits by chance!
Hopefully...I will also have some pictures of some recent outings soon...like some from the new/improved Royal's stadium..I got some great shots there! Oh..and I have chick eggs in my classroom so hopefully will have chick pictures in a few days as well.
I. Love. Photography.
The end.
