We now have a new backdrop and floor option for your sessions, plus many new props! If you wish to have these for your home session, please let me know!
Here are my animals modeling the new backdrop, floor, and fur rug!
Yesterday, I went out to visit my horse, Tonka. One of his pasture buddies, was down on the ground and wouldn't get up. When a horse goes down, and can't get up, it's highly unlikely they will be able to get up again. After many efforts, including a tractor attempt to pull her up with ropes, it was decided it was best to let her go. It was a huge shock to everyone, as this horse was wonderful, and seemed fine in previous days. We stroked her fur and talked to her all the way to the end.
Today she was buried, and her barn buddies stood in a line, watching, as she was put into the ground. Once the dirt started covering her, they each touched their noses to the dirt, as if paying their last respects.
Her daddy, Randy, is struggling a lot. His horses are like his kids...and Maggie was no different. In fact, Maggie was the best riding horse he had, as he could put anyone on her and they could safely ride. This made it even tougher. To help soothe his pain, I have made a video slideshow of pictures I will also include in a photo book.
With 2011, I want to offer a few more items to clients.
Here is a list of some of the new items:
-New pricing, with referral & returning customer rates!
-BACKDROPS for on location (home) sessions. Right now, I have black, but with each booking, hope to be able to afford more options
-NEW PROPS! There is a list on my website under the portrait info section. CHECK IT OUT! I have a turquoise fur rug and fringe blanket coming for newborns...now to find a newborn to capture with it!
-Direct professional print ordering (including METALLIC prints!)
-Custom Frames
-Custom card designs
-Custom video slideshows with music! (see samples below!)
Here are TWO videos I have made-
the first is my Highlights of 2010 Video, updated with new music! These look way more awesome on DVD than the web will ever show- so keep that in mind!
The second is a very special slideshow I made for a client I have photographed from birth to her first birthday. It's very touching and should be checked out.
So...it is cold and snowy outside- things are slow for a few more weeks- but I have to keep practicing- so I decided to participate in a few photo projects! They are both called project 52 and include weekly photographic themes to post. So each week, I'm using my camera to capture an image based on a theme. I have done two weeks with MCP Actions, and just started with Paint the Moon. I'm having a lot of fun and plan to post my work here! I am also posting the links for the projects in case you want to play along!

More updates coming!! I am closing out the 2010 year...and have one more wedding to post, as well as a best of 2010 album. Stay tuned!
Thank you to all of my clients and friends who have made this year such a wonderful one!! Soon I will have the major debt of my equipment paid off and can start buying some new props & lights...one thing about photography...it is a VERY, VERY expensive hobby and can get you into trouble QUICK...
I'm hoping 2011 will help bring me out of the rough time I am in. Also, there will be discounts for returning customers and referring customers. So keep an eye out! This winter I will be doing a complete overhaul on the website to bring better service for 2011.
Here are some of the fun photos from Milissa & Mikee's wedding! I have some new storyboards, so I decided to present them this way to see how they look! Enjoy!
